MEET ALLYSON & JOHN

Allyson Logan is a Hopatcong resident, real estate professional and small business owner running for Borough Council to bring responsible, professional leadership to local government.

Allyson and her family purchased their home in Hopatcong in 2018 as a second residence and made it their full-time home in 2021, drawn by the strong sense of community, the beauty of Lake Hopatcong, and the connections they built with neighbors. She lives in the Woodcliff community with her husband, daughter, and their two dogs.

Professionally, Allyson works in real estate and is actively involved in her husbands architectural millwork business, where she manages financial operations and coordinates projects. Her work requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively to deliver results—skills she will bring to her role in local government.

Allyson is currently serving on the Hopatcong Environmental Commission and has been appointed to the Recreation Commission. She also serves as Secretary of her local community association, where she helps keep residents connected through neighborhood events and initiatives.

Earlier in her community involvement, Allyson served as Vice President of her children’s school PTA and led several school committees. She has participated in various volunteer efforts over the years. After focusing on her family and career, she is now excited to re-engage and serve her community in a broader way.

Allyson is running for Borough Council because she believes residents deserve leadership that is respectful, focused, and committed to getting things done. She is passionate about protecting Lake Hopatcong, supporting local businesses, improving services for residents and seniors, and helping move the community forward in a positive and productive way.

John Young is a lifelong resident of Hopatcong with decades of dedicated service to the community he proudly calls home. A small business owner of J&J Automotive, John brings real-world experience, fiscal responsibility, and a strong work ethic to public service.

John has a long history of leadership in Hopatcong. He has served as a Borough Councilman for 15 years and was previously elected Council President. His commitment to the community extends far beyond elected office, including more than 25 years on the Recreation Commission—seven of those as Chairman—as well as service on the Open Space Committee and as Council liaison to the Recreation Commission and Environmental Commission. He continues to serve on the Hopatcong Municipal Alliance. During his time as a councilman, he served on DPW, OEM, Real Estate, and Police committees as well as Board of Health.

Deeply rooted in the community, John has spent decades volunteering with local youth organizations. He has been a cornerstone of the Hopatcong Warriors youth football program for over 40 years and has also contributed as a coach and officer with youth wrestling programs, high school booster clubs, and county-level athletics organizations. Served as director of Hopatcong Beauty Pageant for many years.

John’s priorities have always centered around responsible government—keeping taxes stable, improving efficiency, and maintaining the quality of services residents rely on. He is committed to strengthening the local economy, supporting small businesses, and ensuring Hopatcong remains a great place to live, work, and raise a family.

OUR VISION FOR HOPATCONG

AFFORDABILITY & RESPONSIBLE GOVERNMENT

As residents, business owners, and parents, we understand how rising costs are impacting families and seniors. Our focus is on stabilizing taxes through responsible budgeting, strategic planning, and consistent leadership—supported by careful evaluation and strong oversight.

Responsible government means planning ahead, avoiding costly surprises, and making thoughtful decisions that support long-term financial stability for our community.

PUTTING HOPATCONG FIRST

This isn’t about politics—it’s about how our town is run. We believe in professional, respectful leadership that focuses on results, not conflict.

By supporting local businesses, protecting Lake Hopatcong, strengthening our community, and improving services for residents and seniors, we can move Hopatcong forward in a positive and productive way.

LEADERSHIP, STABILITY & RESULTS

Effective leadership starts with consistency, communication, and follow-through. Our goal is to bring stability back to local government so projects move forward, costs are better controlled, and residents can trust how decisions are being made.

With a clear vision and long-term planning, we can stop reacting to problems and start building a stronger future for Hopatcong.

It’s not just what we decide - it’s how we govern.

"Bringing Responsble Government Back to Hopatcong."

- Allyson Logan & John Young
